My knife expert and collector used this on a very expensive collection of knives and within 24 hours ALL the brass went from bright and shiny to tinted which took 30 minutes or each one lasted longer. more than 50 knives for subsequent cleaning. The stainless steel and steel blades also began to stain and needed a thorough cleaning. Not sure how it would be with firearms etc. But very surprised that it is better to lubricate blades etc and leave them in zipped bags. Any help is welcome.
