Focus, firmware and mount

Tested on Fuji XE4. There is a screen firmware that stably produces a bright flash in both the EVF and the LCD. This is annoying and a problem with their electronics. It happened every time the cast changed, every time. This is with the latest firmware 1.12 where they state this is fixed and only affects older bodies. XE4 is brand new this year. I compared images from Fuji 23mm F2 and 27mm WR and put together images from 27mm so I have the same field of view. Although the Viltrox lens is pictured with gold lettering, I received a newer version with white lettering. Both Fuji lenses are sharper than Viltrox. I tried turning the lens modulation on and off. Both Fuji lenses have larger file sizes with more detail. Both Fuji lenses were shot at F4.5. Viltrox shot from F2.8 to F4.5 and every stop in between. Same results. Fujifilm lenses are sharper. Colors on Viltrox are good, distortion is high. Screen flickering issue. It's electronic and almost certainly can't be fixed by firmware, it's a hardware issue. Updated to the recently released firmware 1.13. Now sixty percent of close-ups are blurry. XE4 is set to only publish in focus. Set to F3.2 to walk. Focus far. Check out the original version's lens mount with gold lettering VS White. Due to problems with some bodies, the bracket has been changed. They cut out 5 areas of the outer ring on the bracket to make room for the changes so they don't damage the Fuji bodies. The only part of the lens mount in the new white-letter version that makes contact with the Fuji body is the smallest inner ring of the lens mount. So, these new screw and USB cutouts allow dust to get inside the case. This only applies to Fuji Viltrox lenses from other manufacturers, the full mount is intact. This is my experience with Viltrox.
