I brought this along with a couple of other barcode scanners to test because I'm setting up a table to get boxes in and out of. Since I've been testing a lot of products lately, I just want to be able to keep track of what's coming in and when. Setting up this barcode scanner took less than 5 minutes; Plugging the little dongle into the computer was the first step. Second, I opened the book and scanned the barcode and he connected it to a small key. After that, it is enough to press the "trigger" once to wake up the scanner; After waiting a few seconds for "Start" it will beep and then ready to scan. It actually takes 1 second or less to scan the barcodes and it just types the numbers into my computer and hits enter. This can be useful for spreadsheets as I don't have to manage line wrapping on every scan. Allows me to scan a range of materials at once. Overall this scanner works great, I can't think of anything bad about it.
