I bought a system with three speakers and a subwoofer. For some reason I thought the speakers would light up, but little did they know there were three different speaker styles to choose from. The 3-speaker system with mini subwoofer does not light up. In this respect, these are really nice speakers for the price. I really wasn't expecting much in the under $20 category. Although, to be honest, exactly what I was looking for. They are definitely not noisy so as not to annoy your neighbors. However, they record a decent volume. The sound quality is phenomenal. Just the right amount of bass with good full sound. I use these with my desktop computer, I was just looking for cheap sound and I'm very happy with this choice. I'm not sure you can actually find better sounding speakers in this price range. If you're looking for something that will blow the roof of your home, this isn't for you. However, if you're looking for a great sounding speaker system for your desktop or office workspace that plays at a reasonable volume, this is probably a good choice!
