The quality disappointed me a bit. I have a similar cost suction cup vise but they are much better made. The movement of the main ball and the rotation of the base in this vise is rough and imprecise, making it difficult to quickly fine-tune the angle. The "leg" on the screw clamp is knurled metal, a poor choice for clamping onto a surface you don't want to scratch. In addition, the set screw in the post, which is designed to align with the groove in the screw post, is too low, so this load is not carried by the end of the threaded rod on the post, but is carried by a small set screw that prevents it from moving the foot rotates when the clamp is tightened. This increases the degree to which the foot touches the ground. I have to re-drill the threads and stick on a rubber grommet to alleviate these issues as shown in my photo. Otherwise, it works like a compact, inexpensive, lightweight vise.
