A week ago my 18 VW Tiguan dashboard lit up like a Christmas tree. All brakes, traction, tires and airbags burn. I knew that meant the wheel speed sensor had failed, but which one? The dealer is an hour from my house and charges about $150 just to connect to his computer. No thank you. I could remove every wheel and check every sensor, which would kill most of the day. No. This little code scanner was just the ticket. Five minutes and I realized it was the left front sensor. Even linked to a google search which uncovered the many online dealers who had them for a fraction of the VW price. Bought a famous brand for $35. Throw in the cost of this scanner and I still saved more than the retailer's estimate. Plus two hours of driving time and who knows how much waiting in line compared to the 20 minutes of set-up time. It was very easy to install the Autophix app on my Android phone and pair it with the scanner. Works perfectly, despite the negative reviews in the playstore. I can get anything on VW, unlike regular ODBII scanners. It just works. If you have a VW and want to do your job, this seems like a no-brainer.
