I originally ordered a different webcam tripod but it was returned because it cost more than this one. This block has additional components. It includes a phone holder and rotating platform not found in any other device. The main tripod is sturdier - when you press on the top of the tripod, the legs don't flex as much. I've found that the minimum height is actually 3.25 inches if you add the portion of the platform that the camera sits on when fully bolted to the tripod. The telescoping section offers a fixed overall height of 9 inches from the base of the extended legs. The telescoping section can be extended from 9" to 13" as indicated. Intermediate lengths from 9" to 13" are fixed with a twist. The rotating platform adds an additional 2 inches. When delivered, the threaded rod of the sections is protected by rubber bushings, which must be removed. It's disappointing that this Nexigo tripod doesn't fit Nexigo's own N950P webcam. The N950P webcam appears to have a shallow tripod profile depth and therefore cannot be fully screwed onto the tripod platforms. The rotating section has a moveable platform that can be screwed up or down but does not provide a fixed screw connection. I had to add two 1.25" washers to the platform to hold the Nexigo webcam in place. It's strange that the N950P has such a shallow tread depth. The Nexigo N930af webcam, which I also have, doesn't have this problem.
