Great cheap submersible pump

I use this pump to circulate hot water through the radiator for my own 7 gallon RV shower. I've used it three ways: above the water tank and filled with a large pump, at the bottom of the water tank where it fills itself, and completely submerged in the water tank. Only works reliably when fully submerged. Still, in this configuration it's a solid little pump for the money (and they're cheap enough that you can keep a spare on hand). It pumps about 1.5 gallons per minute through a radiator (in which the water passages are more or less the equivalent of 20 feet of 1/4 inch hose) at 2 feet high. It works well with occasional use of about 1 hour per day in water that doesn't exceed 110F. I very much doubt this pump will be reliable when running continuously or not fully submerged in water as it has no bearings just water lubricated plastic holes that make direct contact with the ceramic shaft. It is extremely sensitive to fluctuations in outlet pressure, so I recommend using it only as a circulating pump in an isolated circuit! Take this pump for what it is and use it in a setup similar to mine and you should have a good time.
