Review on C-Force C FORCE Portable Monitor 15.6" FreeSync Speakers, 3840X2160P, High Dynamic Range, 011X PRO4, HDMI, 4K by Keith Hasan

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Great display with one big flaw

The monitor works well with my ThinkPad's USB-c port, both when the display is powered by the laptop and when the laptop is wall-powered. Also works great with my Nintendo Switch connected directly via USB-C, no dock or dongles needed! I tested HDMI on my laptop, Chromecast and PS4 and they all worked great. The screen is glossy and has some reflections, but it's no worse than other glossy screens and the colors look great. I didn't notice any input lag either. The only major downside to this monitor is the sound. The built in speakers are usable but lack range and precision and are very similar in quality to 10 year old laptop speakers. Unfortunately, the headphone output also sounds awful, like it has a high-pass filter or something applied to it, so you can't get around this by plugging in headphones or external speakers. Instead, I plugged my headphones directly into the laptop and the switch, which isn't possible with all sources and is certainly less convenient. If they fixed the headphone jack to be of decent overall quality, this would be a five star product for me. Whatever it is, it's a solid four stars and if you can live with that one major caveat, I recommend it.

Pros
  • Well I like the portability, picture quality and sound quality.
Cons
  • Thin and light, the color is bad, everything seems white.
