I tried it and it seemed to work but when I came back to check the new device didn't charge. I tried several micro USB cables and it turned out that it was the end of the micro USB that worked stably, as if I were moving the end of the cable it was connected to. I bought this as an emergency adapter as I still have a micro USB device and wanted it as a backup in case I forget or lose the USB-C cable. A bad connection is a deal breaker and considering the cost of the adapter I'm sending it back. This Micro USB to USB-C adapter comes in a Samsung box with a tiny adapter in a plastic bag. At first I couldn't get the adapter out of the bag because the clear plastic tie had come loose from the adapter and was stuck to the inside of the bag. When I freed the tape, I took the adapter out of my pocket and it turned out that one end of the tape was permanently attached to the body of the adapter, so I wrapped that label around the adapter again. This label appears to have a legitimate European CE mark (as opposed to the "Chinese export" fake) and has a scan code on the other side, but the code does not work when scanned. Looking online it doesn't look like legitimate Samsung adapters have this packaging so it could be a Samsung box but as Samsung doesn't have a stamp on the adapter and it didn't work for me I'm not sure sure if it really is a Samsung adapter.
