During operation, ultrasonic humidifiers may produce a whistling sound. My Stadler Form humidifier operates on the natural basis (wet filter + fan). Both are below 30dB, according to my measurement. But, the Stadler Form's lower frequency noise means that it doesn't bother my ears as much.
While I can't comment on the Xiaomi humidifier's performance just yet, I should note that it still features a UV lamp for disinfection.

Superb skin hydrator. Constantly exerts tremendous effort. Never let me down. Over time, the plastic had turned yellow, as it does on all cheap electronics. Voice on/off is the only smart feature I actually use. Once at full power, the hygrometer shows exactly when to turn off the device, making it more convenient than adjusting the intensity manually.

Pros

Excellent grade of plastic. Standard European plug type. Links the 2022 area to MI Home (no dances with a tambourine when connected). Afterwards, it is integrated into your smart home without your intervention (Alice allows you to turn it on and off, as well as set a timer). Very efficient (a column of particles rises a meter up like a geyser) Allows for in-process refueling via top-hinged access

Cons

The thing is whistling at me (starts when turned on, ends - some time after turning off, i. E. it is either a fan or a generator). I haven't heard anything new in a week, but up top they said it happened on the second night. If Alice has to make a change, such as adjusting the power or setting up automated humidity management, she can do it solely by using Mi Home. The lid is not secured in place, making removal difficult; the plastic is slippery, and there are no protrusions to grab onto. The hygrometer in the device dishonestly lies (this makes the automatic mode work in a very peculiar way). Alice learned how to better handle the device after a few years, but the internal plastic quickly went yellow.
