Review on Xbox 360 Data Transfer Cable by Bret Wong

NOTE. This data cable is for original Xbox 360 and Xbox 360 Elite hard drives only. If you are transferring data between original Xbox to Elite hard drive or between original Xbox/Elite and Xbox 360 Slim, you can use this cable. This cable cannot be used to transfer data between Xbox 360 Slims or newer consoles. The title of my review suggests that I doubt the item was 'new'. The Xbox 360 data cable came in a plain box with no Microsoft/Xbox 360 logos on the outside which is very unusual for anyone using MS and/or Xbox products. A small box contained instructions, a CD and a data cable. The cable also worked very well. It took a few tries for my new Xbox 360 to recognize the data on the old hard drive, but after a few starts and stops, the data transfer began. (By "starts" and "stops" I mean the data is displayed on the screen with values and then the values are reset to zero - not sure why this happened). It took about three to four hours and not everything was transferred, but that was due to digital rights licenses. All in all, while the Xbox 360 data cable isn't new in my opinion, it did what it was supposed to do and did it well. Plus, a price under $10 doesn't hurt either.
