I have purchased a V4INK New Brother DR360 drum unit and TN360 toner for use in a Brother HL-2170W printer. For some reason my office ladder stocks TN360 toner cartridges so I really only wanted the photoconductor so I thought so, but I'm glad I bought both the photoconductor and toner cartridge combo pack. let me explain. My original drum unit printed unevenly across the page, leaving some areas lightly printed and difficult to read. By just replacing the drum unit and reusing my old toner cartridge (to save a dollar), the print was smooth across the page, but the printout was noticeably lighter than if the same document had been printed on one of my new printers. I was a bit disappointed with the results but luckily decided to try the toner cartridge that came with the drum unit rather than return the purchase. What difference does it make if you use both items together? The print quality is now the same as when you first bought the printer. I'm talking about the difference between day and night versus replacing the drum unit. So, in general, do not change yourself and this company, just replacing the drum unit or using someone else's toner. Replace the drum and toner at the same time.
