Unfortunately they aren't the best American made my dad ever had. The ones I received are made in China. Although they appear normal at first glance, there are some big differences in quality compared to these and older models. One thesis, orange rubber slides off much easier. The edges are a little rougher and seem to cut through the rubber tips after a while like all lame non-pony brands. The metal appears to be of lower quality. Overall good I guess if you just need something for now, but I don't think you'll use those 10 years if you use it regularly.
