I bought these for my 9 year old who is on the autism spectrum. He needed something when we (mom) run on (his) scooter because he will fall and hit his knees and for him it is 100 times worse and it becomes a drama very quickly. Regular knee pads are a nuisance because of the velcro so I tried to find something he could wear on his lap that didn't bother his skin. It absolutely worked! He loved her! They slid straight, being gentle with him and giving him the cushioning he needed. He even kept her to play with. Mom is happy! My son is small for his age, I gave him honey. and they fit perfectly with little room to grow.
