As a note: I am a beginner. My other 3 sets are prima watercolors. I would say that they are quite comparable. I bought this set on Prime Day. So far I'm very impressed. A drop of water is enough to get the paint out of the pan. Colors are vibrant and I didn't notice much chalkiness. Metallics are the only exception. But I think that's just the nature of the animal. I know a lot of color names from YouTube tutorials I've made, but I can't tell you how they compare to the actual color. The only thing missing from this set is a place to mix colors. But I already had a small dish that I really like to use. So completely unnecessary for me. I made these patterns in the video using a regular brush that comes with the kit.
