After seeing a video on YouTube on how to do it, I decided to do it myself. (My dealer charges $85). And it was as easy as it seems. Open the glove box, take it out, take out the old filter and put the new one in. Reinstall the glove box. That's all. And I have to say, the old filter looked pretty gross. Completely clogged, leaves etc. It was amazing that my air conditioning or heating worked at all. And unsurprisingly, when I first turned on the air conditioning in my car, the smell was gone a bit. Definitely something I will change often in the future for that much money. About every 6-9 months? I think my dealer changed it 2 years ago. Of course, just taking a quick look at how it looks/needs replacing is easy enough. My air conditioning and heating are also more efficient now. Just like a filter in your home setup, something to keep an eye on. However, next time I might try a different brand (or even buy a part from my dealer) because I noticed a slight rumble in my dash that wasn't there. there before. Strangely, it goes away after I've been driving for a while. But it seems to suggest that the fit might not be as perfect as the original. Because the installation is so easy, I even did it again just to make sure I pasted it correctly and completely. Everything was fine at first, but the knocking stayed.
