We have two adult tricycles. Schwinn Easy Steer Schwinn Easy Steer Tricycle, Red/White and Radio Flyer All Terrain Stroll N' Trike Radio Flyer All Terrain Stroll 'N Trike Ride On Both perform well, but I like the Schwinn a little more. I will explain. The Schwinn has a wider wheelbase, making it harder to tip over. This is especially useful if the older child can always push the younger one on the tricycle. It also feels more stable when moving across grass, ledges, or natural terrain. Schwinn has footpegs so the child can safely put their feet down until they are big enough to reach the pedals. The radio flyer has no such function and the legs just dangle. The radio flyer has plastic sticks that surround the baby and it's easy to get lazy and not use the straps. Schwinn only has seat belts and that's why we always use them to make the child feel more secure in Schwinn. The Schwinn is also larger and suitable for older children (approx 8 months to 5 years old) while the Radio Flyer is already too small for our 3 year old. We've also found Schwinn to be better suited for tall people/long-legged adults. We are tall adults of 5ft, 10ft and 6ft and often bang our feet on the back of the Radio Flyer when walking. Schwinn does this occasionally, but not that often. Schwinn has a front and back basket for storing toys or found items. The Radio Flyer only has a smaller rear basket (though it does have a nifty little lid that Schwinn doesn't have). The Radio Flyer has a handy visor that protects baby from direct sunlight (but we rarely use it like we do). Don't really use it at this time of day. The blind is not adjustable, so its use is limited (it opens and closes, it does not tilt/rotate). - The Radioflyer has no brakes (the pedals only rotate backwards). It might not be a big deal as children will learn to put their feet on the ground to stop, but Schwinn has brakes and a child can learn to use them as their two wheeler skills develop. The Radio Flyer has rubber tires. which offer a smoother ride than Schwinn's plastic wheels, but the rubber stinks horribly. We had to let it sit in the sun for a couple of weeks to let the smell dissipate before we could put it in the garage. Schwinn costs about $60 less than Radio Flyer at the time of this review. Thanks for reading, I hope this review is helpful!
