Arrived in a shabby box that looked like it had been sitting on a shelf for 20 years. But the product worked fine. The soleplate of my iron was covered in heavy, stubborn deposits, which I assumed were hard water stones after a long "session" with a damp cloth. I wasn't sure if I hadn't ruined my iron. NOTHING else helped clear the buildup. I tried. worked wonderfully. Used 2 applications of a 2 inch cream tape and all blemishes were gone. The iron can be ironed perfectly again and glides well. I did it outdoors because I read reviews about smoking/emissions. I didn't have that experience. I smoked a little (which is normal according to the packaging) but nothing serious. Disadvantage: small amounts of cream collected in the holes and did NOT come out when using the steam boost function (according to the instructions). I had to use a toothpick and there was a small amount left. Iron the clean fabric with a strong steam iron so as not to damage the future fabric.
