Review on PRYSM WB44T10011 Compatible Bake Element Replacement by Duane Ramos

This was the perfect replacement for the bottom heating element in our GE JBP30W0B4WW line. It's the exact same shape and size. Installation would be easy except this article is not at fault at all. The electrical leads to which the element is connected normally run only within the back wall of the oven. You can pull them forward so they go into the oven when you pull the element up and out, but that puts stress on the wires that want to be pulled back behind the wall. Don't let them! Have a helper with thin hands hold them while you swap out the new element, or find a way to squeeze them together so the ends of the sockets protrude into the oven. I slipped and they drove into the furnace wall. Luckily we were able to move the oven away from the wall, remove the back plate of the oven and make the connection from the back. We stuck the ends of the element connector into the holes in the wall of the oven, and then I felt the backplane insulation for wires. I connected them to the element by feel and then returned to the oven to tighten the mounting screws. I then reattached the back plate, rearranged the area and checked the element. It worked, but it would have been a lot easier if I had a better grip on those wires.
