Riichi night mode is the best in games and accessories

Riichi Mahjong is relatively new to me and this is the first set I bought after playing with friends who had their own traditional sets and/or special magnetic sets for use with automatic tables . This set is definitely not traditional (at least on the surface!), but it makes a good impression on others when I present the set in-game. A common phrase that most people will say is "night mode," and I have to agree that that's an accurate statement. I'm just not interested in this set. I initially chose this set because I didn't like the traditional color options at similar prices and I thought that the monotonous black color would affect the visual part of the game for the better, but unfortunately I didn't foresee how very easy to roll those little tiles when you try to shuffle. Of course, I'm far from a pro and there are probably 100x better ways to shuffle these tiles, I just don't know how yet. to see which side is the top and harmlessly flip them back down, but as they're solid black you can't tell the tops from the bottoms and can very easily flip the tiles to put them back in place and mix them properly. Offensive tile. It's honestly a really minor inconvenience and I don't feel like giving one star for it, especially as I bought the set without thinking twice and it's still exactly what I was asking for. Unfortunately, I have to give a star for the processing of some colors, especially the dice. Some of the mini dice have repetitive imprints making it difficult to tell which number is actually being rolled and some of the betting sticks bleed a little. The tiles are pretty well made for the most part, with a few exceptions here and there, and the stamps/sticks aren't as important as the tiles themselves, so overall I'm very happy with them considering the cost.

Pros
  • Japanese Mahjong Set: The most popular mahjong variant in Japan and Europe and the European Mahjong Association's favorite version of mahjong; A game with "Riichi" scoring rules and "Dora" tiles that add an extra element of luck and excitement to an exciting game!
Cons
  • It's OK
