Pros: I bought two of these and two more on the way! I bought my first machine last spring. The smell it produces is mild and reminds me of summer showers, but you won't really notice it unless you're holding the device close to your face. Minuses:. The chain is not adjustable or interchangeable. I caught my chain on something and actually broke it, but I was able to put it back together with a needle and thread. These devices can easily warp if the brushes come into contact with your skin or a metal chain. It feels like a mosquito bite; uncomfortable but not painful. I notice it more with certain clothes. Cotton reduces the effect because it is a poor conductor of electricity. You can also just put it next to you when you are working at a desk. I hang mine on my rear view mirror in the car so the seat belt doesn't damage it. As I said at the beginning, I have ordered two new devices. One to replace my original as he has lost his stubble and one for my husband who is having surgery. Mine still works, but I'm not sure if it's as effective as using a bristle brush. I use my USBC (2.1) phone charger on this device with no problem and it can take a few days before I need to charge it. All in all I am a very satisfied customer!
