We have water bottles for kids and we love them. What I don't like is that it's too wide (with silicone bumper) to fit in our stroller and car seat's cup holders - not a problem, but an inconvenience. I wanted to see how the Yeti behaves. It's larger but about the same width and has the same 12-ounce capacity. The handle is easier to carry with small hands. Everything else about it ("leak tightness", straw, flip top lid, insulation) seems to be mostly the same. I think Yet's durability and the added straw are a huge bonus, this mug will last a long time. If you already have Hydroflask, I don't think this mug is necessarily worth upgrading. But if you're deciding between the two, I'd recommend Yeti!
