Review on Carson TriForce Series 3-Way Fluid Panhead Aluminum Lightweight Tripods: Perfect for Binoculars, Monoculars, Cameras, Spotting Scopes, and More! by Todd Adams

I don't "hate " anything, but this Carson TriForce 3-Way Pan-Head Tripod is immortal and useless

I can't work. It seems like a good and strong construction, but the "liquid head" is not liquid at all; it is jerky and difficult to move from left to right. As far as I can tell there is no "liquid" in it, they just put grease between the rotating platform and the tripod head. It doesn't state if this is a "fluid" fill or just a "fluid" movement and I would either/or agree if it works, but either way it doesn't and doesn't. I've seen a few videos of people making "fixes" but it's ridiculous that it doesn't work out of the box. I don't leave anything behind that I need to "fix" before it can be used. If I wanted to fix my tripod, I would fix my old one. I am sending it back to Amazon and will try the Revain "Basics" tripod. I can't imagine how it could be worse than this, so I expect to be pleasantly surprised. Just take a look. I would give the seller 4 stars for fast shipping but then minus 4 stars for the fast shipping of this item. The 'consignor/manufacturer' (importer) put his name on it and shipped it as his own brand. It was a bad decision.

Pros
  • Tripods and Monopods
Cons
  • boring packaging
