Excellent table tripod for the price

My husband and I are not professional photographers but we shoot a lot and needed a compact table tripod. We have used Carson products in the past and have decided to use Carson again for a tripod. We were not disappointed. The quality of this tripod was much better than the small price we paid for it. There are several adjustment knobs that are not common on cheap tabletop tripods. This tripod is decently built

TF-200: 58" This tripod is decently built, mostly plastic (feels like ABS) and aluminum. There's also mild steel, brass threaded inserts, and acrylic plastic. The fluid head is adequate, but smooth panning with a camcorder is difficult because the tripod body twists, which isn't unexpected given its weight (my usual tripod is the Bogen 3033, which weighs over 8 pounds with the head on alone). work with my DSLR where flexibility would be much less of an issue.I bought this specifically for…

I can't work. It seems like a good and strong construction, but the "liquid head" is not liquid at all; it is jerky and difficult to move from left to right. As far as I can tell there is no "liquid" in it, they just put grease between the rotating platform and the tripod head. It doesn't state if this is a "fluid" fill or just a "fluid" movement and I would either/or agree if it works, but either way it doesn't and doesn't. I've seen a few videos of people making "fixes" but it's ridiculous…
