UPDATE: ONE YEAR LATER—Each candle is still going strong. Replaced the batteries in each roughly 3 times over the past year of nightly warm cozy candle light.After a few months, one of the 9 candles wouldn’t turn on unless I gave it a little tap. After a week of this, I changed the batteries and Voila! No more need to tap the candle after turning the remote to On.I have 3 sets in my house.and am still using ONLY the FIRST remote that I unpackaged. Thought the batteries in the remotes might die, so I saved the other remotes for future use when Remote #1 dies.but it hasn’t died yet! It still works from about 5-8 feet away from the candle I’m turning on.All in all.I’m purchasing more and can’t wait for them to arrive. Still wish they had a few Large and individual candles to purchase (please add to the collection!) but this is no reason to remove stars. I’m in love.Original review below—-1) if you're looking for something that will fool anyone into thinking you spent $100 on three PB candles, then purchase.2) if you're looking for something to warm your heart with ACTUAL FLICKERING LIGHT that dances on the wall behind your candle, giving it a totally legit appearance without the candle soot we all hate painting over every few years, then purchase.3) I have been anti "fake flame" candles for years. But with kids.and a love for candles that can't be denied.I broke down and purchased the flickering candles with the black "wick" a few years ago. Loved having a house full of sconces and hurricanes that just popped on with a pretty warm glow every night as we sat down to dinner and homework. But.no flicker of light on the wall :( no dancing flame in the glass hurricane :( I loved my warm candle home but.something was missing.4) went into PB the other day searching for something to spruce up my festive pine garland on the hearth and my eyes settled on the flickering candles. Wow. They have seen great improvement over the last few years. But HOLY BUTT! The price! I have a lot of PB in my house, but.um.will their flicker candles make me dinner and dessert and tell me my butt looks awesome in oversized sweatpants while I watch Matlock reruns on the couch? Because I don't fork over that much moolah for anything that isn't married to me. Makes me feel like I've found a Sure Thing) but.for the price of 1/2 (HALF PEOPLE!) of ONE PB luminarie candle I took a chance and bought this one pack of, oh, wait, THREE DANCING FLICKER WALL HAPPY MAKERS. I took the chance. They arrived today. I can't speak to the longevity (will update as needed) of these bad boys, but I can say: my expectations have been surpassed. Arrived quickly, excellent packaging to keep them safe and unbruised, the wax on the outside is high quality and gives a real candle appearance/feel, the remote is just the funnest little "oh hey watch me dim my candles oh wait watch me brighten my entire room" toy. The dancing flame is so great. I bought 2 boxes (so 6 candles) to decorate the Christmas fireplace/hearth and I'm buying 2 more boxes tonight, to replace the rest of my candles around the house.6) the only thing I would change is: please offer larger sizes individually! I love the flat top surface (the machine curved top ones can look so fake) and the dancing flame that also reflects onto the wall so very much.I'd love to get some bigger/taller ones for the larger lanterns around the house. All in all: I'm so in love. Thank you for this great product at a great price. Also getting s box for each of my girlfriends/in laws/boss for Christmas. Who knew you could fill a house with PB quality candles without knocking over a bank!
