Does exactly what it should. I'm very glad I was able to find a replacement gravel pack lift tube. I got free boards for one and it's made for 2 risers. So I just wish there were two risers in this kit. I know what you're thinking, just buy another one. Well, this lift tube was about $5 and I think I saw a double pack for about $7 or $8. But I could get a brand new dual lift tube gravel filter system for about $8 or $9. Which I didn't need because, as I said, I already had the records. Also, I only have a 10 gallon tank so I'm pretty sure a hose will do. This has nothing to do with the quality of this product, this is completely normal. I just wish these replacement parts weren't so expensive compared to a brand new gravel filter. Update: Ordered another one of these to go with another Penn Plax pan filter. The way it connects to the record doesn't work on this brand. I mean you could probably make it work somehow. But it turned out I didn't need it because there were 2 tubes in the kit with the UHF and not 1 as I thought. I keep this as a reserve.
