At first I was happy with this cover as it doesn't have a strong smell, is soft and isn't made of toxic materials like other mattress pads. Now I'm angry. My senior cat had an accident on my bed today and she went straight through it. (She's never done this before. I'm assuming it was just after I bought this item.) Anyone who knows anything about cats knows that the smell of their urine is incredibly difficult to get off fabric. So my very expensive organic mattress is practically destroyed. This company should stop calling this coating "waterproof". It should also be noted that none of the 5 star reviews to date have mentioned children, adults or pets involved in an accident. So they haven't tested the water resistance of this case in real life conditions (i.e. lots of foul smelling liquids stay on the case for hours).
