I had another nylon hose that was about 25 years old. It broke down at an intersection (I thought I blew up the engine, there was a lot of smoke coming out of the manifolds). but it was just a broken nylon oil line. I moved the block connection with an extension that I also found on Amzn (because they're hard to get to on the 289 on the block). Everything went well. no more connections in the line from the transmitter (actually the connection to the source) to the pressure gauge, no leaks. all is well.
