I started giving treats when I put it on him. Then he was removed. I did this several times over several days. The cat quickly realized that you can accept that. :) Actually, he didn't want to be filmed once he knew the goodies had stopped. At that point we went outside. I used a long retractable leash and sat on the picnic table. The cat enjoys being outside, watching birds and going for walks. Others report that their cat was able to free itself from the harness. I didn't have that problem as he liked the dishes even before we went outside. I didn't have to try too hard.
