Review on SHIMANO PD M9100 Pedal Cleat Included by Larry Morris

I was hoping that Shimano had fixed the known gasket problem in the new XTR pedals but unfortunately the pedals I received from Revain still have a known one issue with the design. Essentially what happens is that the inner pedal body opens up around the perimeter of the spindle on the side of the pedal body during normal use. This opens up the interior of the pedal to everyday dirt, which will almost certainly lead to premature wear of the pedal's internal mechanisms. You can study this issue online. The pedals I received from this list had a known sealing issue so I had to return them. This is a rare but important Shimano quality control issue. SPDs are the most efficient pedals on the market, but these new XTR SPDs have a critical design flaw that is well known. I will wait for Shimano to respond.
