Review on ⚡️ PowerMax PM3-100: Efficient 110V to 12V RV Power Supply Converter Charger (100 Amp) by David Padilla

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Compact, powerful, easy to install

I bought a PM3-100 (100A) to power my lame 13.1V 45A converter charger in my 2001 Rexhall class A camper to replace. The new converter was easy to install, especially as I had replaced the previous one so all the wires were ready to connect: - power cord to AC outlet - chassis ground to terminal lug - 12v rail (+) and (-) to output terminals on converter - 4 screws (not included) to fix the converter to the bottom. You can adjust the DC output voltage with a screwdriver through one of the side panels. You can switch between "Fixed Power" and "3-stage charging" on the same side panel. I set the output to 14.6v as stated in the manual (and also on my 6v battery spec (I have two built in = 12v)). The converter started charging the batteries while maintaining 14.6V at the output terminal, which is remarkable. The inverter has a fan that turns on and off to prevent overheating. The fan is very quiet. In the attached video, it sounds loud as my phone was very close to the fan, but it's actually a low hiss (similar to a computer fan). battery charge. After the first hours of operation, the converter appears to be working properly and to specification. I am very happy with the purchase. Finding out that it's fairly small and relatively light was a nice bonus.
