Promising GPS watch that doesn't quite deliver on its promises - UPDATED

I've had this GPS watch for almost a year. I'm a marathon runner and I spend a lot of time commuting, so I thought it would be nice to have a watch with GPS when running in unfamiliar places. I found it to be a good companion for my running; easy to use and easy to download statistics. I was looking for affordable and uncomplicated watches; one that could withstand the rain and one where the buttons couldn't be accidentally pressed. It's a bit big on my small wrist but it works. I was happy with this watch until recently. On May 10th, 2015 I ran the Delaware Marathon. At 5:15 a.m., within sight of the finish line, the clock died. The main reason I bought this watch was because the manufacturer stated a battery life of 8-10 hours in GPS mode. I've run 22 marathons - all between 5 hours and 5:30 - so I needed something that would last. This weekend I ran a marathon in Vancouver, USA: this time I left my watch on the charger until I left my hotel room to go to the start and I only activated the GPS after the shot. This time, after 24 miles had passed, not even 5 hours had passed before the clock died. I am so disappointed; and start looking for something else. UPDATED July 6, 2015 I'm impressed that Tom Tom is following up on these reviews and responding so quickly. A few days later I contacted Tom Tom who sent me a FedEx label to send the watch back and today I received a new one in the mail. Didn't expect to get a new one! I also received a new charger. Just got everything set up and looking forward to using it for my runs again. My next marathon is in a few months and then I'll check the battery life.
