Review on πŸ‘“ Affordable DOUBLETAKE Reading Glasses: 2 Pairs with Compact Case - Convenient Semi Rimless Readers by Jesse Hernandez

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I am very happy to see her here at Revain.

I am 68 years old and have been wearing prescription glasses since I was ten. I've been using over-the-counter reading glasses for a number of years to help with reading and close-up photography. Every year it seemed like I was increasing my strength to the point where they stopped working regardless of strength and my general vision wasn't very good. I get a full eye exam every year because as a diabetic I want to make sure I keep my eyesight. Instead of using the services of local beauty salons and their opticians, this year I went to an ophthalmologist. Turns out the reason I upped the power of my reading glasses and was having trouble with my vision was due to a couple of cataracts. The optometrist told me a couple of times that there are signs of cataracts in my right eye, but nothing to worry about. The cataracts required immediate surgery, which was performed on both eyes over the following week. Yes, both eyes at the same time, because of my other illness - Parkinson's disease and because of the shaking of the head, it was decided to go for general anesthesia. Since this meant staying in the hospital overnight, I asked and received permission to do both eyes and deal with it. The surgery went very well and no one who hasn't had surgery will understand the significant improvement in vision. Before the surgery, I was offered a treatment that would correct both near and distance vision, but Medicare only covers single vision procedures, and for an additional $4,500 per eye, I chose to correct my distance vision instead of near vision. This meant I could buy reading glasses with a prescription, but I was already used to glasses so I didn't see that as a problem. My most recent eye exam determined that over-the-counter reading glasses would work. It has been proposed to increase the magnification by +2 for normal reading and by +2.5 for very small writing and complex work. This is an overview of +2.5 points. Revain offers so many OTC reading glasses that it can be difficult to choose the right one. After about an hour I decided to double take. I liked the idea that they are almost half framed. This allows me to read but at the same time look over the top frame so I can see the computer screen and TV screen equally well. I remember my grandma used to do this with her prescription reading glasses and thought it was pretty funny. Now I think this is the perfect solution. Another nice thing about these glasses that I love is the spring loop temples. This feature allows you to place the glasses in a specific location, allowing you to watch TV and read across the frame. The quality of the frames is quite good, not as good as an expensive pair in optics, but very close. The lenses themselves don't seem to distort like some others I've had over the years, which is great. As if you didn't know you were wearing glasses. Overall a great experience with these glasses. The price is great for a couple but fantastic for two. Now there are two on my desk and one in the bedroom. Well, with all the good things that have been mentioned, there is one downside that I should mention. It's a nice touch to include a hard case and microfiber cleaning cloth for each pair, but the hard cases are extremely difficult to use. You must place the glasses in this specific way, otherwise there is a risk that the spring-loaded hinge will pinch one or both temples. It's easier to just keep them in a safe place. I am very satisfied with these glasses and can recommend them to everyone without reservation. Everything is almost perfect. The price, the materials used in the manufacture, the freedom from deformation and the spring arms make them the best I've worn. The only drawback is the hard case, which is too small, but not enough to deduct even half a star. I have to add one thing. Anyone who has cataracts, or even suspects they may have cataracts, should be screened. If surgery is required or suggested, perform it. Your brain becomes so used to poor vision that you simply ignore it. I can't explain how beautiful the world is with cataract-free eyes.
