I appreciated the metal's non-marking surface right away. Which, incidentally, is heated to a warm but not hot temperature for the frying of toast. You cannot burn yourself! The turn-on handle is spring-loaded and has a smooth action. It goes lightly while snapping up instead of hitting. The eyes have sufficient power. I didn't even fry it at the regulator's most extreme setting ("8"); "4" or "5" are plenty. Good toast is served. The crumb tray was also nice. Well, an item that seems like a digital display adds individuality, like lotion! Every taste and hue is catered to by the wide variety of colors!
