Review on Bipra 2.5 Inch Portable USB 2.0 External Hard Drive - Blue, 250GB Capacity - FAT32 Format by Timothy Spinner

This review is written after weeks of disappointment with this product. When I received this item it seemed to work fine at first; It synced to my Wii U (which is what I use it for) and off we went. However, about a day later, I noticed that the USB connector on it was incredibly loose, as the cable itself wouldn't stay in place unless I was propping it up on myself, not to mention turning the LED off or on was, depending on how it sat. This condition would be understandable if the item was old or had been moved a lot, but I didn't touch it after the first connection. To make matters worse, without a backup, the device would not be recognized by either the Wii U or my laptop. I contacted the seller who agreed to send another external case thinking it was just a USB slot. About a week later I received a second case and carefully moved the hard drive to a new home. I connected it back to the Wii U and nothing. The device vibrated and I could hear it working, but the LED light didn't appear no matter what angle I held it from; However, it caught fire when I unplugged the hard drive. I tried the same procedure with my laptop and although it found it was plugged in, the light didn't come on and the computer didn't actually recognize the device. Maybe I just have a completely defective device. I'm not sure. Customer service was fine, but what about this item? It just doesn't work at all.
