This is my favorite collar style. I've had my current one for 2 years now. Very durable for city and country dogs. My two dogs are city dogs and one is country dog. The country dog has faded but is still going strong. My urban dog collar still has a pattern after 2 years and many machine washes. The material behind the clip protects the dog's neck from shedding and the sharp puncture/cut edges do not touch the dog's neck. I suggest you feel your dog's current collar - does it have any sharp edges touching the dog's neck? Does he have a bald spot on his neck? GET THIS DOG STYLE! I would give 10 stars if the scale was that high. Very happy with the purchase.
