I bought new irons and they looked like they could be left unprotected. They're snug enough to put on while I'm carrying my bag, but they're easy to take off and put back on! I have found that it works much better if you place them vertically and slide over them. I haven't wet them yet, so I can't confirm that. I'll say they're white, they don't even get dirty with the red Hawaiian mud I find in the fields. Overall I'm very happy with them and the price is just the icing on the cake. I recommend it to anyone who wants to protect their clubhead but doesn't want to spend their money on a bucket full of balls. Looks great and stretches well for a snug yet comfortable fit.
