Review on Tablet HUAWEI MediaPad 10 FHD Wi-Fi by Aneta Ogrodniczek ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

One of the best deals, glad I bought this.

A low bow to the Chinese - they have a good product. Not outstanding and with some shortcomings, but with a very lethal ratio of price and consumer characteristics. Huawei is not the best solution for gamers (IMHO) - there are not so many games optimized for this hardware - but it does an excellent job with what I needed from a tablet (books, movies, mail, Internet). Of the Android tablets with FHD resolution and above, this is the cheapest solution. Well, if you do not consider purely Chinese brands (although I thought about it, but did not dare). And I don’t want to take the iPad, forgive me, its fans. No, I agree that this is a quality product and "it can do everything, it works smoothly and is not buggy at all", but I don't have a soul for this OS . There are two iPads in the family (wife and child), so I have to use . But file sharing is some kind of quiet horror . I took it without 3G purposefully, because a corporate phone makes buying a second SIM unreasonable :) As a result of operation. Several months have passed since the purchase. From what has been noted: 1. WiFi is behaving strangely. Several times he did not see or was unable to pick up on open networks in a cafe, although his wife's iPad was regularly connected to the network. In other cases, he played online cartoons perfectly when the same iPad shamelessly slowed down. It's not clear. 2. CoolReader crashes with enviable regularity - at least once a week. For two books, this ended fatally: the application rewound them to the cover and flatly refused to scroll forward. The files, by the way, are not broken - other readers opened them normally. I don’t know what to sin on - bugs in the reader or the notorious "lack of application optimization" 3. Watching videos on online services is quite enjoyable. It downloads fast, plays loudly, and even a picture with a claim to FHD. Well, it really depends on the content. While the tablet is satisfied.

Pros
  • 1. Screen. Good margin of brightness and color reproduction. An additional plus is the resolution. Reading / watching movies / surfing is more comfortable than at 1280 * 800. I admit that everything looks even cooler on the retina, but FHD is enough for the eyes. By the way, there were no dead pixels and uneven backlighting in my copy. 2. Battery (to my surprise). Enough for several days when working 3-4 hours a day (reading + Internet + games and movies). When I bought it, to be honest, I did not count on such survivability. 3. Performance. Given the fact that I do not play heavy games, the tablet is more than enough for everything else. Applications and the Internet work smartly. 4. Weight. When held for a long time in the hands, it matters. 5. Sound. The two speakers play loud and clear and even give a hint of stereo. 6. Appearance / feel / workmanship. To its credit, HUAWEI tablet is made really high quality. The body is thin and light. It does not creak, does not bend, so it's nice to take the tablet in your hands. An additional (for me) plus was that the body is made of aluminum. The memory card slot is covered with a flap. 7. GPS. With a tablet price close to the Chinese noname, this is a big plus. 8. Actually, the price. I took a promotion for 12,590 in one of the 2022 networks, plus they gave out more discount coupons for 3,000. 9. PCT. A trifle, but nice :) 10. Good WiFi sensitivity. 11. Slot for memory cards. The absence of which I can not forgive Apple products and Nexuses. 12. Docking station. Not the fact that you will need it (especially without the built-in additional battery), but the very fact of the possibility of turning the tablet into a full-fledged netbook warms the soul.
Cons
  • 1. The screen is covered with stained glass. Too actively collects prints. 2. Own processor and video. Not all applications are installed and work correctly. 3. Crashes and slowdowns happen. Apparently, the features of the software are not well enough optimized for the "author's" HUAWEI hardware. 4. 1 GB of RAM. I would like to. of course, 2 GB, however, it is not justified to demand this from whatever one may say about a budget tablet. 5. Trouble with accessories. It does not smell not only of variety from Apple, but also of a scanty assortment for Samsung. It is extremely difficult to find a case or cable. 6. Proprietary (yeah, I know that buzzword too) connector. Which makes it even more difficult to find accessories. Heading "note to the hostess": full compatibility with a non-native 30-pin cable for Samsung tablets has been experimentally established. 5. All the same WiFi, oddly enough. Details in the comments.
