I've been using this on my office dartboard for about 6 weeks of thinking and practicing in the league I play in. I've never thrown a plank around it without this one (I put the plank in right away) and the wall came with no holes when installed. Last night my teammate asked how he was and I thought it was great until today I took it off and found there were at least 10 obvious holes in the wall and maybe 20 obvious dents. I would say it helped and there is less damage than usual. I'm sure otherwise there would have been holes, these are dents and that kept some dents from appearing. However, if I had known there would be damage afterwards, I would not have bought it in the first place and would have gone in a different direction.
