I bought this because the smell of exhaust gas got into my car. The old filter didn't work. I replaced it with this one. Although it reduced the smell for a few seconds, the smell was still there. Although it reduced the smell for a few seconds, the smell still returned to my car. As it turned out, it was the catalyst! Oh God! It really helped filter out some of the exhaust smell that the other didn't have. So I can only recommend it!
