Installed on my storage table 2 days ago when it was 90 degrees outside. I have an air conditioner in my living room and I've used Vornado to try and direct air into the office but it didn't work properly. I got this device in addition to the fan and now my office feels pretty good again. I have a unit 3ft from my face with a speed 2 fan and a speed 1 AC setting and that is enough to cool me down. I can also feel it from a reading chair 1.50 m away, although not as strongly. It's very similar to putting the gentleman outside on a hot day. You won't get much unless you're around him, but he can cool you down at close range. One feature I wasn't expecting is the UV light that kills any mold or bacteria that might get into the system. This should be a key feature of any device like this as it tends to develop mold if you don't take proper care of it. This unit also doesn't have a filter that absorbs water, so you don't have to worry about finding replacement filters. The only minor downside is that the water tank doesn't stick out very far. This can make it difficult to pour water, especially without a spout. I also think it would be difficult to get ice cubes if they weren't thin enough. If another model comes out, I recommend the manufacturer to fix it so that it is easier to use.
