This and the Avermedia Live Gamer Ultra are close together

I'll just compare the Elgato HD60 S with the Avermedia Live Gamer Ultra. Elgato HD60 SPPros: - The capture card design has great build quality and is also very compact! - Captures my Nintendo Switch's video signal instantly as soon as the system is turned on - Excellent video quality - Frame rate is 60 FPS Cons: - Colors will vary slightly on default settings. You can use the OBS color correction filter to enhance them so that they are easy to fix. - The game recording audio disappears after the system is powered on, but that's really a small complaint on my part. - Elgato firmware and software is constantly updated about every week. Unfortunately, you MUST keep everything up to date or your capture card will not function properly. Needless to say, you should definitely download almost all software from the Elgato website. Now for Avermedia Live Gamer UltraPros: - Great design. since it has its own vent to dissipate heat (Elgato HD60 S doesn't have a visible vent, but that's not important to know.) - Excellent video quality - Maximum frame rate of 60 fps - Updates aren't constant, but they happen when firmware -Updates are required. Cons: The build quality of the capture card itself seems a bit cheap, but it definitely beats the build quality of the first Live Gamer portable capture card I had in 2015, but it died a few months later. Video reception will be delayed when the console is turned on, but this also depends on the console being used. Unlike Elgato, you have to wait a few seconds for the video stream to show up in OBS (if you're using it, which I also recommend). Colors in the default video stream may vary slightly, but again, the OBS color correction filter can easily fix that in seconds. In summary, these two capture cards that I own are very similar to each other in terms of quality, durability, technology, software and firmware features. However, no matter what capture card you use, I highly recommend using OBS for the best streaming (or recording) quality.
