I love strong flavored coffee with rich butter. However, I don't like burnt coffee. All I do is heat water in a kettle, measure out a spoonful of ground coffee and pour it into the drip filter. Then slowly pour in in a circular motion and soak the ground coffee. After a few tries I found what I like. I know the exact measure per cup, I know what pour rate I need, and I prefer not to soak the coffee grounds as instructed. A few things. (1) I thought transparent would be good to see how much coffee I have in my cup. That does not work. too blurry. Should have known better. (2) Washable. It just washes away. (3) Make sure you buy hario filters for this dripper. If you think you will customize traditional filters or stack them in a special way. okay, not worth it. (4) Instructions state that pouring should take 3 minutes. I have found that pouring a good 12 ounce cup takes over a minute and a half. Not only will I continue to use it and buy more filters, I will probably buy another one to have in the office (when we open the office again). Now I can drink pure, unburned, rich, buttery coffee. just for me.
