I tested this product and it only got up to 170°. The ideal temperature for coffee is minimally 190°. It looked good it felt good worked nicely but it does not get hot enough. Looking through other water kettles I noticed several that have variable temperatures you can use based on tea, what type of tea or coffee. I wish this worked better because it looked really nice in my kitchen. Send it back and have not selected another one yet
