I thought it was a good price but the few discs I wasted before realizing I can only record at 4x on a Mac mean that I will choose another brand in the future. Attempting to record at 6x and 2.4x on a Mac results in poor burning, but 4x works fine. Recording was much smoother on desktop and 4x works alongside 2.4x. I bought these because they were a good price and thought they were an improvement over the Memorex discs. I was shocked to see disk after disk not working on a brand new iMac. So I tried recording them at the slowest speed of 2.4x and that helped SOME cases to complete the recording but still warned me that there were errors during the recording. In other cases, the write fails completely no matter what. Luckily I had no problems with my desktop PC recording them at a cautious 2.4x speed. They also shoot great at 4x, which I prefer shooting as that speed has worked on everything else I've tried. Drives are cheaper. However, it only takes a few failed burns to skyrocket the cost of a working disc and make Verbatim discs a better choice. So if you're recording one of these on a laptop or Mac, better quality discs aren't such a big deal.
