I received this tool after being frustrated with TPMS issues and local stores not being able to program TPMS sensors for different makes/models. I didn't want to go to the dealership every time there was a problem with the TPMS on one of my vehicles, and speaking to local tire shops convinced me that some of the technicians were not technically savvy when it came to finding sensors for different makes and models to program. I recently had to replace a TPMS sensor and the store did the replacement with no problems and only charged me $16. They stated that the TPMS light would go out after a few miles of driving. I knew from previous experience that my 2009 Forester required a new sensor ID number to be programmed into the vehicle's TPMS system upon sensor activation. So the TPMS light certainly didn't go out on the way home. I pulled out this tool and in just a few minutes I programmed the new sensor ID number into the car's TPMS system and the TPMS warning light went out. This tool will scan all sensors and tell you if they are active, activate new sensors, diagnose the TPMS system, program new sensor ID numbers into your vehicle's TPMS system and possibly many other functions. I probably won't use it. It was expensive but now that TPMS is mandatory for all cars I think it's a good tool to have on hand.
