Spiral Coils are Good Economic Thread Inserts. This kit does not come with a drill like most, but you will need a standard size drill and you probably already have one. There are two ways to install the wound coil into the threaded hole made with the included tap. With this kit, you thread the insert onto a threaded insert tool (as opposed to a tool with a shouldered steel shank). The installation tool in this set has a small advantage as it makes it easier to install the insert when you need it at the bottom of the hole.
