This item has received some bad reviews. I believe the problem users are having is that the wall chargers people are trying to power this cable do not have the correct output voltage that this cable needs to interface with a Surface laptop. The Surface requires a 15 volt input on the charging side. You cannot use regular wall chargers that come with phones, tablets, etc. as the maximum output voltage is 5 volts. When using, the user's first thought is that the cable is not working. It's not a cable. This product works great when connected to an appropriate wall charger.
