WHO AM I: I am a video professional with 20 years of experience in low cost broadcast equipment. WHY AVOID THIS TRIPOD: Upon opening the box, the leg fell off. It's apparently glued somewhere and somehow they forgot to glue it. I thought "why not see if it still works" and put the leg back on and fastened it. Then when I tried to extend the tripod to make it taller, one of the segments wouldn't pop out and the other wouldn't snap into place. This is, without exaggeration, the worst junk tripod I have ever owned. accident to catch me. Ignore the stupid images they use to trick you into buying this crap. Indeed, buy something locally and avoid all the poorly done junk on Amazon. You can save $5 but also have to throw it away way sooner or in my case take that crap to the post office during the pandemic to get it back.
